Home & Contents Insurance

We offer our clients a range of home & contents insurance products based on their circumstances and requirements. These covers are summarised as follows:

Defined Events Home & Contents Cover
This type of policy covers you for specified common events that may lead to a loss or damage. Such events may include – fire or explosion, storm and/or rainwater, flood, lightning or thunderbolt, earthquake, theft or attempted theft, malicious acts, riots & civil commotion, escaping liquids, impact by vehicles, trees or animals, glass breakage, spoilage of food, fusion, power surge and liability.

The majority of Australian householders normally insure for this type of coverage.

Accidental Loss and Damage cover
This type of cover is generally broader than the defined events cover and generally costs a little more.

The phrase 'accidental loss' is usually given a specific meaning, included in the 'Definitions' section of the policy. In general, the policy covers any accidental loss where the cause of the loss is something unintended and unexpected.

The cover may also automatically extend to cover items temporary removed outside the home such as jeweler, cameras and mobile phones.

Landlord Insurance
If you have an investment property, landlord insurance is an alternative cover for you. Whilst traditionally it is a defined events cover, it also provides additional benefits specific to a landlord, such as:-

  • Malicious Damage to premises caused by the tenant

  • Loss of rent due to a specified event

  • Legal expenses to recover monies owed to you

  • Rent default or undue departure by the tenant

  • Theft by tenants
